KATERINA STAR (ΚΑΤΕΡΙΝΑ ΣΤΑΡ) -Boufis Shipping Company Built in 2001 (age 25 ). Registered in Piraeus. Current line: Kosta-Spetses The landing craft KATERINA STAR was built in 2001 in Greece, having been ordered by the Greek company Boufis Shipping Company, which is based in Spetses. She was deployed on the Kosta-Spetses line, where she has gone to spend her entire career so far. Since 2008 she has been the only ferry that connects Spetses with mainland Greece, and she is therefore an essential ship for the island. ANTIGONE (ΑΝΤΙΓΟΝΗ) -Saronic Ferries ex-POSEIDONAS (ΠΟΣΕΙΔΩΝΑΣ) for Farmakoris-Villiotis NE (2010-2019) Built in 2010 (age 16 ). Registered in Piraeus. Current line: Piraeus-Northern Aegina The landing craft ANTIGONE was built in 2010 in Greece, as the POSEIDONAS for the Greek company Farmakoris-Villiotis NE. Upon the completion of her construction, she was deployed on the Arkitsa-Aid i psos line, thus connecting mainland Greece with Evoia via the North Evoian Gulf. Her company also joined the Aid i psos Ferries joint venture, which also included Gavanozis Shipping and Aidipsos Shipping. She was deployed on the Rion-Antirrion line in 2011, but she returned the following year on the Arkitsa-Aidipsos line. In 2018 she was replaced by her younger fleetmate, namely the ALKYON, and she was laid-up in Salamina. While it was initially rumoured that she had been sold overseas, this eventually did not happen and the ship remained laid-up in Salamina for the entire 2019 season, until she was sold to the Saronic Ferries joint venture (composed of Nova Ferries and 2way Ferries). She was renamed ANTIGONE and she underwent a conversion in Perama and Keratsini. After 3 years during which her indoor areas were fully refurbished and her garage area was covered, she was introduced on the Piraeus-Northern Aegina line (serving the port of Souvala) on the Saronic Gulf in 2022, where she met much success. In 2025 she began operating on the Piraeus-Northern Aegina-Agistri line. GALAXY (ΓΚΑΛΑΞΥ) -A-Ships Management (2018-2026) Built in 1979, scrapped in 2026 (age 47). Was registered in Limassol. The cruiseferry GALAXY was built in 1979 in Poland, as the SILESIA for the Polish company Polferries (the trading name of the Polish Baltic Shipping Company). She began service on the Gdańsk-Nynäshamn-Helsinki line, thus connecting Poland with Sweden and Finland on the Baltic Sea. In 1980 she was deployed on the Gdańsk-Karlskrona line, where she stayed for just one season. In 1981 she returned to the Gdańsk-Nynäshamn-Helsinki line. In 1983 she was chartered to the Tunisian company Tunisia Ferries (also known as Compagnie Tunisienne de Navigation, or COTUNAV), for whom she was deployed on the Genoa-Tunis line for three years, while from 1985 to 1986 she operated in a joint venture alongside the Italian company Grimaldi Siosa Lines (the predecessor of Grimaldi Lines). In 1986 she returned to Polferries and she was inserted on the Świnoujście-Copenhagen-Travemünde line. In 1989 she was deployed on the Świnoujście-Ystad line, while in 1997 she moved to the Świnoujście-Copenhagen-Rønne line. In 1999 she again returned to the Świnoujście-Ystad line, while in 2000 she headed to the Gdańsk-Nynäshamn line. In 2003 she once more resumed service on the Świnoujście-Ystad line, before being laid-up in 2005 in Świnoujście. She was sold later in that same year to the Greek company GA Ferries. She arrived in Perama after having been renamed FELICIA, but before undergoing a refit for her new owners, she was sold to the Ukrainian company UkrFerry. She was renamed YUZHNAYA PALMIRA and she began service in 2006 on the İstanbul-Odessa line, thus connecting Turkey with Ukraine through the Black Sea. In 2008 she was chartered to the Spanish company Iscomar and she was renamed BEGOÑA DEL MAR. She began service on the Valencia-Ibiza line on the Balearic Sea, where she stayed for one season, after which she returned to UkrFerry in 2009. She was once again renamed YUZHNAYA PALMIRA and she returned to service on the İstanbul-Odessa line. She was laid-up in Chornomorsk in 2010, and she stayed there until she was acquired later in that same year by the then-newly-established Italian company Adriatica Traghetti. She was renamed ADRIATICA I and she was deployed on the Bari-Durrës line on the Adriatic Sea in 2011. In 2013 she was chartered to the Moroccan company Inter Shipping for service on the Algeciras-Tangier Med line on the Gibraltar Strait, but after just a few days the charter ended prematurely, after which the ship was laid-up in Porto Empedocle. She was then due to be chartered to the Italian company Siremar for service between Sicily and the Aeolian Islands on the Tyrrhenian Sea, but she instead continued to remain laid-up in Porto Empedocle. She remained there until late 2016, when she was sold to the Greek company European Seaways. She was renamed GALAXY and, following a refit in Drapetsona, she entered service in 2017 on the Zakynthos-Kefalonia-Igoumenitsa-Corfu-Brindisi line on the Adriatic Sea. In 2018 she was chartered to Africa Morocco Link and she operated on the Algeciras-Tangier Med line. During that same year, European Seaways was rebranded as A-Ships Management. The ship was chartered to Inter Shipping for the second time in 2019, although this time she operated successfully on the Algeciras-Tangier Med line. She returned to A-Ships Management in 2020, and she entered service on the Brindisi-Vlöre line. In 2023 she was chartered to the Italian company Caronte & Tourist, for whom she operated on the Porto Empedocle Lampedusa line. In 2024 she again returned to A-Ships Management for service on the Brindisi-Vlöre line. In 2025 she remained laid-up in Perama, although later in the year she was chartered to the Faroese company Strandfaraskip Landsins, for whom she was deployed on the Tórshavn-Tvøroyri line on the Faroe Islands Archipelago. In 2026 she was sold for scrap to India. Current line: None (laid-up in Salamina) The small passenger ship PANAGIA KAMATEROU was built in 2005 in Greece for the Greek company Kalfaoglou NE. She immediately joined the many small passenger ships that were deployed on the Perama-Salamina line. In 2018 she was sold to Freedom Daily Cruises, and she underwent a major conversion in Perama, during which her bridge was brought forward, her upper deck was removed, and her bow was remodeled. She was deployed on the Ionian Sea, performing daily cruises on the Parga-Syvota line. In 2019 she returned to the Perama-Salamina line. The following year she was laid-up in Salamina. ZEUS (ΖΕΥΣ) -Gaspal Maritime Company Built in 1980 (age 46). Registered in Piraeus. Current line: None (laid-up in Elefsina) The landing craft ZEUS was built in 1980 in Greece, as the NIKOS P for the Greek company Nikos P NE. She was deployed on the Rion-Antirrion line. In 1983 she underwent a conversion in Perama, during which she was lengthened and her accommodation superstructure was remodeled. She was subsequently deployed on the Arkitsa-Aidipsos line on the North Evoian Gulf. In 1998 she was sold to the Italian company Traghetti Delle Isole and she was renamed ZEUS. She began service on the Trapani-Favigana-Levanzo-Marettimo line, thus connecting Sicily with the Aegadian Islands via the Tyrrhenian Sea. In 2017 she was sold to the newly-established Greek company Gaspal Maritime Company, thus making a comeback to Greece after 19 years. She kept her name, and following a conversion in Perama, she was deployed once again on the Rion-Antirrion line. After three seasons, her company ceased operations in 2020, and the ship has since remained laid-up in Elefsina. THASSOS III (ΘΑΣΟΣ ΙΙΙ) -Aneth Ferries Built in 2008 (age 18). Registered in Piraeus. Current line: Keramoti-Thassos The double-ended ferry THASSOS III was built in 2008 in Greece, as the PARALOS II for the Greek company Georgios Lines. She became the second ship to be delivered to her company, following the original PARALOS, which had been sold to the Costa Rican company Naviera Tambor before her construction was completed in 2006. The PARALOS II began service on the Perama-Salamina line. In 2015 she was sold to ANETH Ferries, which is based in Thassos. She was renamed THASSOS III, thus becoming the second ship in the history of the company to take that name, after the original landing craft THASSOS III (known as the JOSHUA of the Vincentian company Joshua Maritime since 2007). She was deployed on the Keramoti-Thassos line. Current line: Hydra-Agios Nikolaos Hydras The small high speed boat PANORAMA was built in 2009 in Greece, for the Greek company Hydra Tours Travel. Current line: Floisbos-Agistri-Metopi-Aegina The one-day cruise ship PLATYTERA TON OURANON was built in 1999 in Greece for the Greek company Agioreitikes Grammes, which is based on the Agion Oros area. She originally operated there, serving as a one-day cruise ship on the Ormos Panagias-Ouranoupolis line. In 2007 she was sold to Hydraïki Cruises (also known as Athens One Day Cruise since 2012). She underwent a major conversion in Perama in 2008, during which she was considerably lengthened. She began operating that same year on the Saronic Gulf, making one-day cruises on the Piraeus-Hydra-Poros-Aegina line. In 2012 she began operations on the Floisbos-Hydra-Poros-Aegina line. She was replaced in 2016 by her fleetmate, namely the ANNA MARU, in order to undergo an extensive refit, and she returned to service only at the end of that year, under the Platinum Cruises joint venture. She was once again replaced by the ANNA MARU in 2019, and she was laid-up in Perama. She resumed service on the Floisbos-Hydra-Poros-Aegina line in 2021. In 2023 she began performing daily cruises on the Floisbos-Agistri-Metopi-Aegina line. AGIA BARBARA (ΑΓΙΑ ΒΑΡΒΑΡΑ) -Thassos Seaways Built in 1996 (age 30). Registered in Piraeus. Current line: None (under refit in Salamina) The double-ended ferry AGIA BARBARA was built in 1996 in Greece, having been ordered by the Greek company Karnesis-Lalousis NE. She was initially built as a landing craft, and she began service on the Perama-Salamina line. In 2003 she underwent a major conversion in Salamina, whereupon she was transformed into a double-ended ferry, thus making her the first-ever landing craft to perform such a conversion. She was subsequently deployed on the Rion-Antirrion line, where she remained until 2004. In 2005 she returned to the Perama-Salamina line, where she went on to stay until 2012. She returned to the Rion-Antirrion line in 2013, while in 2014 she was once again sent to the Perama-Salamina line. In 2016 she made another return to the Rion-Antirrion line, before heading back to the Perama-Salamina line the following year. In 2019 she was inserted on the Arkitsa-Aidipsos line on the North Evoian Gulf, while in 2020 she made a comeback to the Rion-Antirrion line. She returned to the Perama-Salamina line in 2021. In 2023 her company was rebranded as Thassos Seaways and she moved to the Kavala-Thassos lin e. In 2026 she operated on the Keramoti-Thassos line. AGIOS ATHANASIOS (ΑΓΙΟΣ ΑΘΑΝΑΣΙΟΣ) -Thassos Link Built in 1979 (age 47). Registered in Piraeus. Current line: Kavala-Thassos The landing craft AGIOS ATHANASIOS was built in 1979 in Greece. She was the first-ever ship of Evoïkos Lines, beginning service as the VASSILIS I on the Agia Marina-Nea Styra line on the Petalioi Gulf. Her service was extremely successful, and she remained on the line for 22 years. Following the summer of 2001, she was transferred to the North Evoian Gulf, being deployed on the Glyfa-Agiokampos line. While operating there, she was part of the Glyfa Ferries joint venture, which included Evoïkos Lines, Gavanozis Shipping and Aidipsos Shipping. In 2009, the VASSILIS I was sold to the Cypriot company Nemitsas Shipping Company. She was renamed ELLY, and she began operating on the Limassol-Larnaca-Tartus line, thus connecting Cyprus with Syria. She was laid-up in 2012 in Limassol, and she remained there for five years, before being eventually purchased by the Greek company Thassos Link. She made her comeback to Greece in late 2017, having been renamed AGIOS ATHANASIOS, and she began a major conversion in Perama in 2018, whereupon she was lengthened, her accommodation superstructure was fully rebuilt, and she acquired a new bow and a new ramp. Shortly after the summer of 2019, she was deployed on the Keramoti-Thassos line. Current line: Rhodes-Symi The small high speed boat APHRODITE QUEEN was built in 2018 in Greece for the Greek company Rhodes Sea Lines. Just like all the ships of the company, she performs daily cruises based in Rhodes, serving various well-known beaches and towns of the island. Her main service is, however, on the Rhodes-Symi line on the Dodecanese, hence performing one-day cruises in Symi thanks to her speed. Current line: Zakynthos-Marathonisi The small high speed boat STAVROULA V was built in 2014 in Greece, becoming the first ship of her type to operate for the Greek company Voutirakos Cruises, which is based in Zakynthos. TAXIARCHIS D (ΤΑΞΙΑΡΧΗΣ Δ) -Dakoutros Speed Built in 2016 (age 10 ). Registered in Santorini. Current line: Santorini-Nea Kameni-Palaia Kameni The small high speed boat TAXIARCHIS D was built in 2016 in Greece, entering service for the Greek company Dakoutros Speed, also known as the Santorini Boatmen & Mooring Services, alongside her sister ship, namely the ELEFTHERIOS D, and the slightly larger PELAGOS. The three ships had been ordered following the successful introduction of the first three small high speed boats (namely the IOANNIS D in 2013, and the PRESTIGE and the FANTASIA in 2014) in Santorini by Dakoutros Speed. Like all of her fleetmates, the TAXIARCHIS D mainly operates between Santorini and the volcanic islands of Nea Kameni and Palaia Kameni, and she also helps transport passengers from cruise ships to Santorini. Two more sister ships (namely the THEOSKEPASTI and the KALLIOPI) were built in 2017, followed by the much larger MEGA STAR and SEA STAR in 2019 and in 2020, respectively. DODEKANISOS EXPRESS (ΔΩΔΕΚΑΝΗΣOΣ ΕΞΠΡΕΣ) -Dodekanisos Seaways Built in 2000 (age 26). Registered in Rhodes. Current line: Rhodes- Symi-Chalki-Tilos-Nisyros-Kos-Kalymnos-Leros-Leipsoi-Patmos-Agathonisi The high speed ferry DODEKANISOS EXPRESS was built in 2000 in Norway, as the first high speed craft and newbuilding delivered to the newly-established Greek company Dodekanisos Speedways. Based in Rhodes and following a failed attempt in deploying the cruiseferry PANAGIA SKIADENI from Piraeus to the Dodecanese (as the ship was eventually sold to DANE Sea Line, and she is now known as the DIAGORAS of Blue Star Ferries), the company sought to instead focus its services on the inter-Dodecanese lifeline. The DODEKANISOS EXPRESS was therefore deployed on the Rhodes-Symi-Tilos-Nisyros-Kos-Kalymnos-Leros-Leipsoi-Patmos lifeline, becoming the first-ever high speed craft to serve it. Her service there was widely acclaimed, and she quickly became one of the most appreciated ships of the Dodecanese. In 2001 she operated solely on the Rhodes-Symi-Kos-Kalymnos-Leros-Leipsoi-Patmos lifeline. In 2002 she also began to serve the Rhodes-Castellorizon line during the summer. In 2005 her company was renamed Dodekanisos Seaways, and her sister ship, namely the DODEKANISOS PRIDE, was delivered. In 2008 she began operating on the Rhodes- Symi-Chalki-Tilos-Nisyros-Kos-Kalymnos-Leros-Leipsoi-Patmos-Agathonisi lifeline in addition to the Rhodes-Castellorizon line, the latter of which she stopped operating on following the summer of 2012. AIANTAS (ΑΙΑΝΤΑΣ) -Aiantas Ferries Company, chartered to Kerkyra Seaways Built in 1999 (age 27). Registered in Piraeus. Current line: Igoumenitsa-Corfu The landing craft AIANTAS was built in 1999 in Greece for the Greek company Aiantas Ferries Company, which is based in Salamina. She was deployed on the Megara-Salamina line, where she would usually operate during the summer, while also serving the Perama-Salamina line during other moments of the year. In 2009 she was deployed on the Arkitsa-Aidipsos line, hence connecting mainland Greece with Evoia via the North Evoian Gulf. In 2010 she moved to another service on that same gulf, as she was inserted on the Agios Konstantinos-Agios Georgios Lichados line, which she served for three seasons. In 2013 she returned on a full-time basis to the Megara-Salamina line, where she remained for 10 years. SYMI II (ΣΥΜΗ ΙΙ) -Sea Dreams Built in 1990 (age 36). Registered in Piraeus. Current line: Rhodes-Symi The small catamaran ferry SYMI II was built in 1990 in Greece, being the second ship to join the Greek company ANES Ferries, following the SYMI I (today the OSTRIA of Nostos Cruises), which had started operations back in 1980. The SYMI II was deployed on the Rhodes-Symi line on the Dodecanese, where she remained for 20 years. In 2011 she was laid-up in Rhodes due to the difficult financial conditions of her company, remaining there until she underwent a refit in Salamina in 2015. She was eventually reactivated in 2016, being deployed on the Glyfa-Skiathos-Skopelos line on the Sporades. In 2017 she operated on the Volos-Skiathos-Skopelos line. In 2018, she joined Sea Jets, as part of a trade which saw her former fleetmate, namely the SYMI, joining ANES Ferries for a second stint. The SYMI II returned to the Dodecanese, being once again deployed on the Rhodes-Symi line. In 2020 she was once again laid-up in Rhodes, where she remained for three years. In 2023 she underwent another refit in Salamina in order to resume service, but she once again missed the season and she remained laid-up in Rhodes. She eventually resumed service on the Rhodes-Symi line in 2024. Current line: Mykonos-Agios Georgios The small passenger boat AGIOS NIKOLAOS was built in 2009 in Greece for the Association of the Boatmen of Mykonos. Just like all of her fleetmates, she mainly transports passengers from cruise ships arriving in Mykonos to the latter's old port. She also operates on the Mykonos-Agios Georgios line. As her company assigns a specific number to each ship operating for the latter for identification purposes, the AGIOS NIKOLAOS bears the number 1. ANDROS JET (ΑΝΔΡΟΣ ΤΖΕΤ) -Sea Jets Built in 1997 (age 29). Registered in Limassol. Current line: None (laid-up in Chalkida) The high speed ferry ANDROS JET was built in 1997 in Australia, as the CEZAYIRLI HASAN PAŞA 1 for the Turkish company İstanbul Deniz Otobüsleri (İDO). She began service on the Yalova-Pendik line on the Marmara Sea, where she remained for 20 years. In 2017 she was sold to the Greek company Sea Jets and she was renamed ANDROS JET. She was converted in Perama and in Chalkida, and she began service in 2018, on the inter-Cyclades lifeline, namely on the Lavrion-Kea-Kythnos-Andros-Tinos-Syros-Paros-Naxos-Donousa-Amorgos-Koufonisi-Schoinousa-Irakleia-Folegandros-Sikinos-Ios-Thirassia-Santorini-Anafi line. Her first year was very troublesome due to multiple engine failures and delays. In 2019 she was deployed on the Rafina-Andros-Tinos-Mykonos-Paros-Naxos line, before being deployed once again on the Lavrion-Kea-Kythnos-Andros-Tinos-Syros-Paros-Naxos-Donousa-Amorgos-Koufonisi-Schoinousa-Irakleia-Folegandros-Sikinos-Ios-Thirassia-Santorini-Anafi line later in the summer, where she had a much better second season. In 2020, she suffered yet another major failure, which prematurely ended her summer season. She has since remained laid-up in Chalkida. ANDROMEDA (ΑΝΔΡΟΜΕΔΑ) -Andromeda NE Built in 2009 (age 17). Registered in Heraklion. Current line: None (under refit in Rhodes) The small passenger ship ANDROMEDA was ordered in 2000 as a tour boat that would be performing daily cruises in Crete. Her construction began in Egypt and she arrived in Greece in 2001. However, her owners went bankrupt and her construction was never finished, and she was therefore left abandoned in Heraklion. In 2008 she was bought by the Greek company Andromeda NE and her construction was finally finished in 2009, after which she was deployed on the Piraeus-Salamina line. Following the completion of the 2011 season, due to financial issues faced by her owner, she was laid-up in Salamina. Despite undergoing a refit from 2017 to 2018 that indicated a potential reactivation, she ultimately remained laid-up in Salamina. In 2023 she was damaged by a fire which partially destroyed her main passenger deck. However, she was repaired and her accommodation superstructure was fully rebuilt in Salamina. She was eventually reactivated in 2024, as she began to perform cruises in Rhodes, serving the island's most popular beaches and coastal towns (namely Lindos, Tsambika, Antony Quinn Bay and Kallithea), as well as the small nearby islet of Exonisi. KAPETAN YIANGOS (ΚΑΠΕΤΑΝ ΓΙΑΓΚΟΣ) -Mathioudakis Tours Built in 1981 (age 45). Registered in Poros. Current line: Milos-Kimolos The small passenger ship KAPETAN YIANGOS was built in 1981 in Greece, initially operating as a tour boat in Poros. In 1984 she was acquired by the Greek company Mathioudakis Tours, which is based in Milos, and she was converted in Syros. She began to perform daily cruises around the island while also serving Kimolos on the Cyclades. She also underwent another conversion in Syros in 2000, whereupon she was further lengthened. Current line: Paros-Antiparos The landing craft AGIOS NIKOLAOS was ordered in 2018 by the Greek company Agia Marina I NE as the AGIOS NIKOLAOS II, in order to replace their previous ship, namely the AGIOS NIKOLAOS, built in 2017 and sold to the British Virgin Islands-based company Solaris Shiptrade Company. The AGIOS NIKOLAOS II was renamed AGIOS NIKOLAOS during her construction, and she was completed in 2018 in Greece. She was deployed on the Paros-Antiparos line on the Cyclades. Current line: None (under drydock in Salamina) The double-ended ferry THEOTOKOS was ordered in 2002 by the Greek company Theotokos NE. She was completed in 2003 in Greece, and she began service on the Perama-Salamina line. In 2014 she moved to the Rion-Antirrion line, before returning to the Perama-Salamina line the following year. In 2018 she headed back to the Rion-Antirrion line, before once again returning to the Perama-Salamina line in 2019. In 2021 she returned to the Rion-Antirrion line. AGIA MARINA AEGINIS (ΑΓΙΑ ΜΑΡΙΝΑ ΑΙΓΙΝΗΣ) -Αqua Vera NE ex-AL EXANDROS (ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΣ) of Alexandros Shipping (2000-2015) and My Ways (2015-2016) Built in 2000 (age 26). Registered in Piraeus. Current line: None (laid-up in Salamina) The small passenger ship AGIA MARINA AEGINIS was built in 2000 in Greece, as the ALEXANDROS for the Greek company Alexandros Shipping, also known as Alex Cruises. She began service on the Ionian Sea, being deployed on the Zakynthos-Kefalonia-Ithaca-Lefkada line, while also occasionally operating solely in Zakynthos by making trips around the island. She underwent a major conversion in 2002 in Perama, whereupon she was lengthened, and both her passenger capacity and her speed were increased. In 2007 her company deployed her on the Ierapetra-Chryssi line in Crete. In 2008, she was transferred to the Saronic Gulf, namely on the Piraeus-Northern Aegina line, serving the ports of Souvala and Agia Marina. She underwent a small conversion in 2009 in Salamina, whereupon she received a bulbous bow and an upgraded stern ramp. In 2010, she served the Piraeus-Northern Aegina-Agistri line, but the extension to Agistri was discontinued the following year. In 2015 she was sold to My Ways, and she remained in her same usual service. In 2016 she was sold to Evoïkos Lines, a company which had just deployed its own landing craft, namely the OSIOS DAVID (now the MENEKRATIS of Kerkyra Lines), on the Piraeus-Northern Aegina line. She resumed her summer service to both Souvala and Agia Marina as the AGIA MARINA AEGINIS. In 2019 she was transferred to ANES Ferries, and she was deployed on the Piraeus-Northern Aegina-Hydra line. She was sold to Aqua Vera NE in 2020, and she resumed service on the Piraeus-Northern Aegina line in 2021. She has been laid-up in Salamina since 2022. ROMANTIKA DREAMS (ΡΟΜΑΝΤΙΚΑ ΝΤΡΙΜΣ) -Rhodes Day Cruises ex-CAPTAIN MICHALIS (ΚΑΠΕΤΑΝ ΜΙΧΑΛΗΣ) of Captain Michalis Cruises (1987-2022) Built in 1987 (age 39 ). Registered in Rhodes. Current line: None (under refit in Rhodes) The small passenger ship CAPTAIN MICHALIS was built in 1987 in Turkey for the Greek company Captain Michalis Cruises. She performed daily cruises based in Rhodes, heading to Lindos as well as to the small island of Exonisi on the Dodecanese. In 2022 she was sold to Rhodes Day Cruises and she was renamed ROMANTIKA DREAMS. She was fully renovated in Rhodes and she resumed her cruises based in the island in 2023. IONIS (ΙΟΝΙΣ) -Triton Ferries Built in 1977 (age 49). Registered in Piraeus. Current line: Lavrion-Kea-Kythnos The legendary ferry IONIS was ordered in 1968 by the Greek company Kaparis Shipping, which was based in Zakynthos. However, due to economic difficulties, she remained incomplete, until she was acquired by Ionian Lines in 1975. She was finally completed in 1977 in Greece and she began service on the Patras-Kefalonia-Ithaca line on the Ionian Sea. In 1978 she was deployed on the Patras-Kefalonia-Ithaca-Astakos-Paxoi-Corfu line. The following year, she was deployed on the Patras-Kefalonia-Ithaca-Paxoi-Corfu-Brindisi line. In 1984, following the financial issues of Ionian Lines, she was laid-up in Kefalonia. She was then transferred to the Greek state-owned company Hellenic Coastal Lines in 1985, and she was deployed on the Kyllini-Kefalonia line. In 1986 she returned to the the Patras-Kefalonia-Ithaca-Astakos-Paxoi-Corfu line, while in 1987 she returned to the Patras-Kefalonia-Ithaca-Paxoi-Corfu-Brindisi line. The unsuccessful years of the company saw the ship being withdrawn from service in 1989. She was chartered by Seven Islands Lines (later known as Lefkaditis Lines), which deployed her on the Patras-Kefalonia-Ithaca-Paxoi-Igoumenitsa-Corfu-Brindisi line. Her charter ended in 1991, and, following a short stint on the inter-Cyclades service, she was laid-up in Elefsina until 1993, when she was bought by Tyrogalas Ferries, which was based in Zakynthos. She was converted into a day ferry in Perama, and she resumed service on the Ionian Sea, as she was deployed on the Kyllini-Zakynthos line. In 1997 her company joined the Ionian Ferries joint venture, and from 2001 she also began to serve the Kyllini-Kefalonia line. She was converted again in 2007 in Piraeus, whereupon she received side sponsons that were required by her registry. In 2015, with the arrival of the superb FIOR DI LEVANTE of Levante Ferries, Tyrogalas Ferries decided to operate the IONIS on the Saronic Gulf, deploying her on the Piraeus-Aegina-Methana-Poros line under the new Ionis Ferries brandname, which was named after her. In 2016 she was sold to the newly-established Greek company Leve Ferries, thus marking the end of the operations of Tyrogalas Ferries in the Greek coastal service. However she remained on the Saronic Gulf, operating exclusively on the Piraeus-Aegina line. Her first and eventually only summer with Leve Ferries was successful, but conflicts regarding debts owed to her previous owners kept the ship laid-up in Salamina for the 2017 summer season, until she was sold to Triton Ferries for service on the Kythira-Antikythira lifeline. Leve Ferries subsequently ceased operations, and the ship, following a refit in Perama, began service for her new owners in late 2017, being deployed on the Piraeus-Gytheion-Kythira-Antikythira-Kissamos line. In 2020 she moved to the Cyclades, being deployed on the Lavrion-Kea-Kythnos line. AGIA MARINA (ΑΓΙΑ ΜΑΡΙΝΑ) -Dolychio (Petrogaz) Built in 1978 (age 48). Registered in Piraeus. Current line: None (laid-up in Perama) The landing craft AGIA MARINA was built in 1978 in Greece, but she was put in service as a Ro-Ro carrier and tanker supplying vessel for the company Petrola (the Saudi Arabian subsidiary of the Latsis Group). She began service in Yemen as the RUBAT TRUST, and in 1980 she was renamed FARAZAN, only to be renamed RADIGH BAY 4 a year later. In 1997 she returned to Greece when she was bought by the Greek company Dolychio (branded as Petrogaz since 2007), and she was renamed AGIA MARINA. She operated on the Kefalonia-Ithaca-Lefkada line on the Ionian Sea for 10 years. Beginning in 2007, the ship began transporting various goods across all the Aegean Sea while being based in Aspropyrgos, and serving most of the Cyclades, the Dodecanese, the Sporades and the Northeast Aegean Sea, as well as the Saronic Gulf. Her full schedule was spent on the Aspropyrgos-Aegina-Skyros-Skiathos-Skopelos-Alonissos-Kea-Kythnos-Andros-Syros-Tinos-Mykonos-Paros-Naxos-Irakleia-Schoinousa-Koufonisi-Donousa-Amorgos-Serifos-Sifnos-Milos-Kimolos-Folegandros-Sikinos-Ios-Santorini-Thirassia-Anafi-Astypalaia-Patmos-Leros-Ikaria-Thymaina-Fournoi-Samos-Chios-Mytilene-Limnos-Arkioi-Kalymnos-Kos-Nisyros-Symi-Rhodes-Karpathos-Kasos line. VITSENTZOS KORNAROS (ΒΙΤΣΕΝΤΖΟΣ ΚΟΡΝΑΡΟΣ) -LANE Sea Lines (1994-2020) Built in 1976, scrapped in 2020 (age 44). Was registered in Agios Nikolaos. A historic Greek ferry, the VITSENTZOS KORNAROS was built in 1976 in Denmark, as the VIKING VISCOUNT for the British company Townsend Thoresen. She began service between Belgium and the United Kingdom on the North Sea, namely on the Zeebrugge-Felixtowe line. In 1986 she was deployed on the Le Havre-Portsmouth line on the Channel. She was transferred to P&O European Ferries (known as P&O Ferries since 2002) in 1987, being inserted on the Cherbourg-Portsmouth line. She was renamed PRIDE OF WINCHESTER in 1989. She continued service on the Channel, always on the Cherbourg-Southampton line, until 1994. That same year she was sold to the newly-established Greek company LANE Lines (which became LANE Sea Lines in 2006), which was based in the region of Lasithi in Crete. She was converted in Piraeus and in Perama, being renamed VITSENTZOS KORNAROS, and she was introduced on the Piraeus-Milos-Agios Nikolaos-Siteia line. Following a successful first summer, her service was extended to the Piraeus-Milos-Agios Nikolaos-Siteia-Kasos-Karpathos lifeline in 1995, and then to the Piraeus-Milos-Agios Nikolaos-Siteia-Kasos-Karpathos-Chalki-Rhodes-Castellorizon lifeline in 1999. In 2003 she began operating on the Piraeus-Milos-Santorini-Heraklion-Agios Nikolaos-Siteia-Kasos-Karpathos-Chalki-Rhodes-Castellorizon lifeline. Between 2004 and 2007, she operated on the Piraeus-Milos-Santorini-Heraklion-Agios Nikolaos-Siteia-Kasos-Karpathos- Chalki- Rhodes-Castellorizon lifeline, as well as on the Alexandroupolis-Samothraki-Limnos-Mytilene-Chios-Samos-Kalymnos-Kos-Rhodes lifeline on the Northeast Aegean Sea and on the Dodecanese. In the summer of 2008 she solely operated on the Piraeus-Milos-Santorini-Heraklion-Agios Nikolaos-Siteia-Kasos-Karpathos- Chalki-Rhodes-Castellorizon lifeline. In 2009 she was transferred to the Peloponnese and Kythira-Antikythira lifelines, in order to cover the area which had been abandoned by the company ANEN Lines due to financial difficulties faced by the latter. She began service on the Piraeus-Gytheion-Kalamata-Kythira-Antikythira-Kissamos-Rethymnon lifeline. She remained there in 2010, while also simultaneously operating on the Piraeus-Milos-Folegandros-Sikinos-Ios-Santorini-Anafi line on the Cyclades. In 2011 her lifeline itinerary was modified with the addition of the port of Monemvasia, which meant that she operated on the Piraeus-Monemvasia-Gytheion-Kalamata-Kythira-Antikythira-Kissamos lifeline. She collided with the EUROPEAN EXPRESS of NEL Lines in Piraeus that same year. After the summer of 2013 she left the Piraeus-Milos-Folegandros-Sikinos-Ios-Santorini-Anafi line in order to fully commit to the Peloponnese and Kythira-Antikythira lifelines, and she also stopped making calls in Monemvasia. She was therefore on the Piraeus-Gytheion-Kalamata-Kythira-Antikythira-Kissamos lifeline for the rest of her career. She grounded off in Kasos in 2015, while also colliding with that same island's pier in 2016. In 2017, shortly after returning from her refit to her summer service on the lifeline, she suffered a major engine failure which kept her out for the entire summer. LANE Sea Lines saw their subsidy contract on the lifeline being revoked, and the ship was subsequently laid-up in Salamina. In 2020, after three years of lay-up and 26 legendary years in the Greek coastal service, she was sold for scrap to Turkey, leaving Greece at the age of 44. NISSOS AEGINA (ΝΗΣΟΣ ΑΙΓΙΝΑ) -Saronikos Leve Ferries Built in 1974 (age 52). Registered in Piraeus. Current line: None (under refit in Drapetsona) The conventional ferry NISSOS AEGINA was built in 1974 in Germany, as the RHEINLAND for the German company AG Ems. She was deployed on the Emden-Borkum line on the North Sea, where she remained for 20 years. In 1989, she notably underwent a major conversion in Emden, whereupon she was lengthened. In 1994, she was sold to the Dutch company Rederij Doeksen. She was renamed MIDSLAND, and she was refitted in Harlingen, after which she was deployed on the Harlingen-Terschelling line on the Wadden Sea. After her company acquired two newly-built ferries in 2020, the ship was sold in 2021 to the newly-reformed Greek company Leve Ferries, which had previously ceased operations back in 2017. She was renamed NISSOS AEGINA and she underwent an extensive conversion in Perama, during which her bow and her stern were remodeled entirely. She was due to begin service in 2022 on the Piraeus-Aegina-Agistri line on the Saronic Gulf for her owners, but she was instead chartered to Joy Cruises, which deployed her on the Igoumenitsa-Paxoi line on the Ionian Sea under the Joy Ferries brandname. Following an unsuccessful spell there, she returned to Leve Ferries, while in 2023 she was acquired by ANES Ferries. She initially operated on the Piraeus-Aegina line on the Saronic Gulf, but during the summer she was deployed on the Mantoudi-Skiathos-Skopelos-Alonissos line on the Sporades, after which she returned to the Piraeus-Aegina line. In 2024 she was transferred to the newly-established Greek company San Lorenzo Ferries, and she remained on the Piraeus-Aegina line. In 2026 she was transferred to the newly-established Greek company Saronikos Leve Ferries, and she returned to the Mantoudi-Skiathos-Skopelos line. NEARCHOS (ΝΕΑΡΧΟΣ) -Creta Cargo Lines (2016-2021) current MARILU of Metropolitan Maritime Services Built in 1968 (age 58). Was registered in Piraeus. Current line: None in Greece, sold to Metropolitan Maritime Services for service between Nigeria and Benin The Ro-Ro carrier NEARCHOS was built in 1968 in Denmark, initially as a passenger ferry. She began her career as the CHRISTIAN IV for the Norwegian company Kristiansands Dampskibsselskap (KDS), being deployed on Hirtshals-Kristiansand line, thus connecting Denmark with Norway on the Skagerrak. Later in 1968, her company was acquired by the Norwegian ferry company Fred. Olsen Lines, and she remained on her usual service until 1984. After being laid-up in Kristiansand, she was sold in late 1984 to the Malaysian company Perbadanan Nasional Berhad. She was renamed PERNAS SAFARI and she was deployed as a military troop carrier in Malaysia. In 1994 she was sold to the Greek company Safari Lines (later known as the now-defunct company Endeavor Lines). After being converted in Keratsini, she entered service on the Adriatic Sea in early 1995, being deployed on the Igoumenitsa-Corfu-Bari line as the SAFARI. During the summer of the same year she was chartered to the Greek company Stern Maritime Lines and she was deployed on the Bari-Corfu-Igoumenitsa-Çeşme line. In 1996 she was sold to the Portuguese company Porto Santo Line, and she was converted in Perama before sailing to Portugal under the name LOBO MARINHO. She began service on the Madeira Archipelago, being deployed on the Funchal-Porto Santo line. She was renamed LOBO MARINHO I in 2003, but she was then replaced by the newly-built LOBO MARINHO that same year. As a result, she was sold to the Cape Verdean company Cabo Verde Line, and she was renamed LOBO DOS MARES. She was deployed on the Praia-Mindelo line, before being sold in 2005 to the Greek company Efstathiou Shipping. She began a small conversion in Drapetsona and she was renamed MENHIR. She was supposed to be deployed on the Adriatic Sea, but her owners eventually experienced severe financial difficulties and she was sent for lay-up in Salamina. She went on to spend more than a decade there, with a return to service seeming impossible due to her advanced age. However, against all odds, she was sold in 2016 to the Greek company Creta Cargo Lines. After 11 years of lay-up she began a major conversion in Salamina, during which her stern was extended and her passenger superstructure decks were removed, which resulted in her becoming a Ro-Ro carrier. She was renamed NEARCHOS and she entered service on the Piraeus-Andros-Mykonos-Paros-Naxos-Ios-Santorini-Rethymnon line, on the Piraeus-Skyros-Skopelos-Skiathos-Chios-Mytilene-Limnos line, and on the Piraeus-Serifos-Sifnos-Milos line. In 2017 she was deployed on the Lavrion-Mykonos-Paros-Naxos-Santorini-Kos-Rhodes line and on the Lavrion-Skiathos-Skopelos-Chios-Mytilene-Limnos line. In 2018 she operated on the Lavrion-Syros-Tinos-Mykonos-Paros-Naxos-Ios-Santorini-Skiathos-Chios-Mytilene-Limnos line. Later that year she grounded off in Nea Kameni while heading towards Santorini, and her hull was severely damaged. She was repaired in Salamina and she resumed service in 2019, being deployed on the Lavrion-Syros-Tinos-Mykonos-Paros-Naxos-Ios-Santorini-Ikaria-Samos-Chios-Mytilene-Limnos line. In 2020 she operated on the Piraeus-Kea-Andros-Syros-Tinos-Mykonos-Paros-Naxos-Ios-Santorini-Ikaria-Samos-Chios-Mytilene-Limnos line. In 2021 she was sold to the Nigerian company Metropolitan Maritime Services and she was renamed MARILU. She began service on the Lagos-Cotonou line, transporting containers between Nigeria and Benin on the Gulf of Guinea. KERKYRA EXPRESS (ΚΕΚΡΥΡΑ ΕΞΠΡΕΣ) -Kerkyra Lines Built in 1991 (age 35 ). Registered in Piraeus. Current line: Igoumenitsa-Corfu The conventional ferry KERKYRA EXPRESS was built in 1991 in Japan. She began her career as the NEW HIYAMA under the Japanese company Higashi Nihonkai Ferry, a subsidiary of Higashi Nihon Ferry, being deployed on the Esashi-Okushiri line. In 2008 the company was rebranded as Heart Land Ferry. In 2010 the ship was sold to the Greek company ANENDYK Ferries (known as ANENDYK Seaways since 2022) and she was renamed SFAKIA I. She became the first-ever conventional ferry in the history of the company, and she was planned to operated in Southwestern Crete and potentially linking the island with Egypt. However, these projects never materialised and the ship instead remained laid-up in Chania for four years. In 2014 she was sold to Kerkyra Lines. She was renamed KERKYRA EXPRESS and she underwent a conversion in Amaliapolis and then in Perama, and she began service in 2015 on the Igoumenitsa-Corfu-Paxoi line on the Ionian Sea. Since 2022 she has been operating solely on the Igoumenitsa-Corfu line. She has been the flagship of Kerkyra Lines since her entry to service for the latter in 2015. CHAMPIONS LEAGUE JET 1 (ΤΣΑΜΠΙΟΝΣ ΛΙΓΚ ΤΖΕΤ 1) -Sea Jets ex-JUMBO JET (ΤΖΑΜΠΟ ΤΖΕΤ), als o of Sea Jets (2024 -2025) Built in 2007 (age 19). Registered in Limassol. Current line: Piraeus-Syros-Tinos-Mykonos-Paros-Naxos-Santorini-Heraklion The high speed ferry CHAMPIONS LEAGUE JET 1 was built in 2007 in Australia, as the OSMAN GAZİ 1 for the Turkish company İstanbul Deniz Otobüsleri (İDO). She began service together with her sister ship, namely the ORHAN GAZİ 1, on the İstanbul-Mudanya line on the Marmara Sea. In 2011 she collided with the Ro-Ro carrier UND EGE of the Turkish company UN Ro-Ro off the island of Oxeia, but she was repaired and she resumed her service. In 2015 she also collided with the pier of the port of Mudanya while trying to dock there. In 2022, İDO ended the ferry service on the İstanbul-Mudanya line, and as a result both the OSMAN GAZİ 1 and the ORHAN GAZ İ 1 were laid-up in İstanbul. They stayed there for two years, until they were sold to the Greek company Sea Jets in 2024. They were renamed JUMBO JET and JUMBO JET 2, respectively. Only the former was immediately prepared in order to enter service for the company for the 2024 season, as she underwent a refit in Salamina. She was introduced on the Piraeus-Syros-Tinos-Mykonos-Paros-Naxos-Koufonisi line on the Cyclades. In 2025 she was renamed CHAMPIONS LEAGUE JET 1, and she was deployed on the Piraeus-Syros-Tinos-Mykonos-Paros-Naxos-Santorini-Heraklion line together with the WORLDCHAMPION JET. In 2026 she operated on the Piraeus-Paros-Naxos-Koufonisi-Amorgos line. THEOLOGOS P (ΘΕΟΛΟΓΟΣ Π) -Fast Ferries Built in 2000 (age 26). Registered in Piraeus. Current line: Rafina-Andros-Tinos-Mykonos The conventional ferry THEOLOGOS P was built in 2000 in Japan, as the FERRY KŌCHI for the Japanese company Osaka-Kōchi Tokkyu Ferry. She was deployed on the Osaka-Kōchi line. She stayed there until 2005, when her owners went bankrupt and the service was closed. After being laid-up in Osaka, she was sold in 2006 to the Greek company Fast Ferries. She was converted in Perama and she was renamed THEOLOGOS P. She entered service on the Rafina-Andros-Tinos-Mykonos line in 2007, thus becoming the first ship of her company to operate on the Cyclades. Her introduction was extremely successful, and eventually Fast Ferries shifted their entire operations from the Ionian Sea to Rafina, bringing the EKATERINI P and later the then-newly-acquired FAST FERRIES ANDROS to the Cyclades as well. In 2017 she was on the Rafina-Andros-Tinos-Mykonos-Naxos line. She returned to the Rafina-Andros-Tinos-Mykonos line in 2018. In 2024 she began operating on the Rafina-Andros-Tinos-Mykonos-Paros line together with the FAST FERRIES ANDROS. PANAGIA SKIADENI (ΠΑΝΑΓΙΑ ΣΚΙΑΔΕΝΗ) -Dodekanisos Seaways Built in 1986 (age 40 ). Registered in Rhodes. Current line: Rhodes-Symi The conventional ferry PANAGIA SKIADENI was built in 1986 in Japan, as the FERRY TACHIBANA for the Japanese company Nankai Ferry. She was deployed on the Wakayama-Tokushima line, where she remained until 2000. That same year, she was sold to the South Korean company Dong Yang Shipping Company (known as Dong Yang Express Ferry Company since 2005) and she was renamed ORIENT STAR. She served the Busan-Jeju line on the Jeju Strait, where she remained until 2003. During that same year she was sold to the Greek company Karystia Lines (owned by the Alifrangis family), thus becoming their second ship, after the MARMARI EXPRESS which had been acquired in 1999. She was temporarily renamed STAR A and she underwent a major conversion in Drapetsona, during which her bow was remodeled, while her stern was upgraded with the addition of outdoor sun decks, and her indoor areas were fully refurbished. She was eventually renamed ARTEMISIA in 2004, and she began service on the Rafina-Marmari line on the Petalioi Gulf in 2005. Following the completion of the 2011 season, she was sold to Dodekanisos Seaways, hence becoming their third ship and the first conventional ferry to begin services for them (indeed they had bought the ferry PANAGIA SKIADENI back when they were established in 1999, but that ship never operated for them, as she was sold within a few months to DANE Sea Line, and she is currently known as the DIAGORAS of Blue Star Ferries). She was renamed PANAGIA SKIADENI and she underwent a refit in Salamina, before beginning service in late 2011 on the Rhodes-Symi line on the Dodecanese. From 2012 to 2014 she also operated on the Rhodes-Marmaris line. She underwent a major refit in 2021 in Salamina, during which her indoor areas were fully renovated. In 2023 she operated on the inter-Dodecanese lifeline linking the Dodecanese Islands with Samos, therefore operating on the Samos-Agathonisi-Farmakonisi-Arkioi-Patmos-Leipsoi-Leros-Kalymnos-Kos-Symi-Rhodes lifeline. PANAGIA KOIMISIS (ΠΑΝΑΓΙΑ ΚΟΙΜΗΣΗΣ) -Galaga Shipping Company Built in 2005 (age 21). Registered in Piraeus. Current line: Megara-Salamina The double-ended ferry PANAGIA KOIMISIS was built in 2005 in Greece, having been ordered by the Greek company NE Elafonisou. She began service on the Pounta-Elafonisos line, where she remained until 2006. In 2007 she moved to the Arkitsa-Adipsos line on the North Evoian Gulf, where she remained until 2008. In 2009 she was sold to the Greek company Galaga Shipping and she was deployed on the Megara-Salamina line. From 2011 to 2014, she was chartered to the Abu Dhabi Port Council in the United Arab Emirates, and she operated on the Abu Dhabi-Sir Bani Yas line on the Persian Gulf. She returned to Greece under Galaga Shipping Company in late 2014, and following a refit in Perama, she returned to the Megara-Salamina line in 2015. In 2016 she operated on the Perama-Salamina line, before once again returning to the Megara-Salamina line in 2017. In 2020 she was chartered to Thassos Link and she was deployed on the Keramoti-Thassos line. After two seasons there, she returned in late 2021 to Galaga Shipping Company, and she was once again deployed on the Megara-Salamina line. ITHAKI DIAMOND (ΙΘΑΚΗ ΝΤΑΪΑΜΟΝΤ) -Ionion P Lines Built in 2010 (age 16). Registered in Piraeus. Current line: Kefalonia-Ithaca-Astakos The conventional double-ended ferry ITHAKI DIAMOND was built in 2010 in Greece, as the STYRA DIAMOND for the Greek company Diamond Lines. She was deployed on the Agia Marina-Nea Styra line on the Petalioi Gulf, where she remained until 2014. During that same year, her company ceased operations, and she was laid-up in Nea Styra, before then heading to Eretria for further lay-up in 2015. In 2016 she was sold to Ionion P Lines and she underwent a refit in Perama, which went to last for a year. In 2017 she was renamed ITHAKI DIAMOND and she began service on the Kefalonia-Ithaca-Astakos line on the Ionian Sea, providing additional service to the one performed by her fleetmate, namely the IONION PELAGOS. She did not operate during the 2018, instead remaining in Salamina. She returned to the Kefalonia-Ithaca-Astakos line in 2019, usually as a relief vessel for the IONION PELAGOS when she is at full capacity or when she undergoes her annual winter refit. HERMES (ΕΡΜΗΣ) -Hermes Cruises Built in 1992 (age 34). Registered in Chios. Current line: Zakynthos-Kefalonia-Ithaca The small passenger ship HERMES was built in 1992 in Greece, as the HERMES 1 for Skiathos Cruises, and she operated on the Skiathos-Skopelos-Alonissos line on the Sporades as a daily tour boat. In 2009 she was sold to Hermes Cruises, which is based in Kefalonia. She was renamed HERMES and she started to perform daily summer cruises on the Ionian Sea, connecting Kefalonia with Ithaca and with Zakynthos. In 2017 she underwent a major refit in Kefalonia, during which her indoor areas were renovated, while she was equipped with new engines, bow thrusters and stabilisers. ARIS III (ΑΡΗΣ ΙΙΙ) -Psomas Shipping (2010-2019) current I MADDAL ENA of Delcomar Built in 2010 (age 16). Registered in Piraeus. Current line: None in Greece, sold to Delcomar for service in Italy The double-ended ferry ARIS III was built in 2010 in Greece, for the Greek company Psomas Shipping, as a replacement for their previous ship, namely the ARIS II, which had been sold to the Croatian company Rapska Plovidba. She was deployed on the Oropos-Eretria line, connecting mainland Greece with Evoia through the South Evoian Gulf. She was deployed on the Perama-Salamina line in 2015, and she stayed there for two summers. In 2017 she returned to the Oropos-Eretria line. In 2019 she was sold to the Italian company Delcomar, as her company ordered a new double-ended ferry, namely the ARIS IV, which was built in 2020. After being converted in Perama, she was renamed I MADDALENA and she sailed to Italy. She began service on the Palau-La Maddalena line in 2020. Current line: Lefkada-Meganisi The landing craft MEGANISI II was built in 1997 in Greece, as the EVANGELIA II for the Greek company Evangelia NE. She began service on the Perama-Salamina line, where she remained for 10 years. In 2007 she was sold to the Greek company Coastal Lines Ionios Corporation, which is based in Meganisi. She was renamed MEGANISI II and she was inserted on the Kefalonia-Ithaca-Meganisi-Lefakda line on the Ionian Sea . In 2016 she began operating solely on the Lefkada-Meganisi-Ithaca line, while her service has been restricted to the Lefkada-Meganisi line since 2020. PANAGIA THASSOU (ΠΑΝΑΓΙΑ ΘΑΣΟΥ) -Thassos Ferries Built in 1985 (age 41 ). Registered in Piraeus. Current line: Kavala-Thassos The landing craft PANAGIA THASSOU was built in 1985 in Greece, as the THEOLOGOS P for the Greek company Fast Ferries. She became the second ship in the history of the company to have that name, following the original landing craft THEOLOGOS P, which operated for Fast Ferries between 1974 and 1984. The new THEOLOGOS P was deployed on the Igoumenitsa-Corfu line on the Ionian Sea, where she remained until 2003. That same year, she was sold to Thassos Ferries, and she was renamed PANAGIA THASSOU. She began service in 2004 on the Keramoti-Thassos line, where she remained until 2010. In 2011, during her refit in Amaliapolis, two staircases connecting the passenger side ramps with her accommodation superstructure were added. SUPERSPEED (ΣΟΥΠΕΡΣΠΙΝΤ) -Sea Jets Built in 2001 (age 25). Registered in Piraeus. Current line: None (under refit in Salamina) The high speed trimaran SUPERSPEED was built in 2001 in Australia, having been ordered in 1999 by the Australian company White Rabbit. Upon delivery, she became the first passenger trimaran in the world. She began service as the TRIUMPHANT on the Melbourne-Hobart line. In 2002 she was sold to the South Korean company Ferry Ulsan. She was renamed ULSAN DOLPHIN and she began service on the Ulsan-Kitakyushu line, thus connecting South Korea with Japan via the Tsushima Strait. She remained there until 2016, when she was sold to the Croatian company Krilo Ferry. After being converted in Rijeka, she began service in 2017 under the name KRILO ECLIPSE, being deployed on the Split-Bol-Korčula-Mijet-Dubrovnik line on the Adriatic Sea. After just one season there , she was sold to the Greek company Golden Star Ferries. She arrived in Greece in late 2017, thus becoming the first-ever trimaran passenger ship in the history of the Greek coastal service. She began a conversion in Perama and in Salamina, during which she was renamed SUPERSPEED. She began service in 2018, being deployed on the Thessaloniki-Skiathos-Skopelos-Alonissos line on the Sporades. In 2019 she was deployed on the Cyclades by being inserted on the Rafina-Syros-Mykonos-Paros-Naxos-Koufonisi-Amorgos line. Her service there was marred by several engine troubles, which eventually ended her season prematurely after she suffered a major engine failure in Naxos. She remained laid-up in Piraeus during the 2020 season, and in 2021 she was sold to Sea Jets, after which she headed to Perama. She has yet to begin operations for the latter, and she has remained in Salamina since 2022.
