ex-AGIOS GERASIMOS II (ΑΓΙΟΣ ΓΕΡΑΣΙΜΟΣ ΙΙ) of Lixouri NE (2016-2024)

Βuilt in 1990 (age 35). Registered in Piraeus. Current line: Kavala-Thassos

The landing craft THEOCHARIS L was built in 1990 in Greece, as the OLYMPIOS APOLLON for the Greek company ANEM Ferries. She was deployed on the Samos-Fournoi-Ikaria-Leipsoi-Kalymnos-Western Kos line on the Dodecanese, where she remained for 22 years. In 2012 she was sold to the Lebanese Delegation to the United Nations in order to operate as a transporter of Lebanese military supplies. She was renamed CAROLYN and she was deployed on the Beirut-Naqoura line on the Levantine Sea. She remained in that role until 2016, when she returned to Greece, having been sold to the the Greek company Lixouri NE (based in Kefalonia), which became a part of the Taxiarchis joint venture that includes Ionian Sea Ferries and Ionion P Lines. She was renamed AGIOS GERASIMOS II and she underwent a conversion in Perama. After one year of refit, she began service on the Kefalonia-Ithaca-Lefkada line on the Ionian Sea in 2017. In 2020 she was deployed on the Kefalonia-Ithaca-Astakos-Lefkada line. In 2022 her service was restricted to the Kefalonia-Ithaca line. In 2024 she was sold to Thassos Seaways and she was renamed THEOCHARIS L. After being refitted in Salamina, she began service on the Kavala-Thassos line in 2025.
