-Lixouri NE

Built in 1990 (age 34). Registered in Piraeus. Current line: None (under refit in Salamina)

The landing craft AGIOS GERASIMOS II was built in 1990 in Greece for the Greek company ANEM Ferries, as the OLYMPIOS APOLLON. She was deployed on the Samos-Fournoi-Ikaria-Leipsoi-Kalymnos-Western Kos line on the Dodecanese, where she remained for 22 years. In 2012 she was sold to the Lebanese Delegation to the United Nations in order to operate as a transporter of Lebanese military supplies. She was renamed CAROLYN and was deployed on the Beirut-Naqoura line on the Levantine Sea. She maintained that role until 2016, when she returned to Greece, having been sold to the Kefalonia-based company Lixouri NE, which is part of the Taxiarchis joint venture that also includes the companies Ionian Sea Ferries and Ionion P Lines. She was renamed AGIOS GERASIMOS II, was converted in Perama, and, after one year of refit, she was deployed on the Kefalonia-Ithaca-Lefkada line on the Ionian Sea. In 2020 she was deployed on the Kefalonia-Ithaca-Astakos-Lefkada line. In 2022 her service was restricted to the Kefalonia-Ithaca line.
