The small passenger boat CAPTAIN KOSTAS was built in 1995 in Turkey, as the EXPRESS NIKOS for the Greek company Nikos Express, owned by the Fragkakis family based in Chalki. She began service on the Rhodes-Chalki line, where she remained for 25 years. In 2021, her company ceased operations and the ship was sold to the Lefkada-based company Seven Islands Cruises. She was renamed CAPTAIN KOSTAS and she underwent a major refit in Lefkada, during which her indoor areas were upgraded, while her outdoor decks were extended and her aft section was fully remodeled. She began service in 2022, performing daily cruises around the island of Zakynthos and serving the small islet of Marathonisi on the Ionian Sea. In 2024 she operated on the Kefalonia-Ithaca-Skorpios-Madouri-Meganisi-Lefkada line.
