ANNA MARU (ΑΝΝΑ ΜΑΡΟΥ)

-Hydraïki Cruises (Athens One Day Cruise)

Built in 1993 (age 31). Registered in Piraeus. Current line: None (under refit in Perama)

The one-day cruise ship ANNA MARU was built in 1993 in Greece for Panagiotopoulos Shipping, under the initial name JOHN P. She began service on the Heraklion-Santorini line as a one-day cruise ship. She was sold in 1994 to Epirotiki Line, which transferred her to the Saronic Gulf. She was deployed on the Piraeus-Poros-Hydra-Aegina line, where she operated under the Hermes One-Day brandname. She was sold in 2003 to Hydraïki Cruises, was renamed ANNA MARU and resumed service on the Piraeus-Poros-Hydra-Aegina line, performing successful one-day cruises there. In 2010 her company deployed her on the Sporades, where she was deployed on the Nea Moudania-Skiathos-Skopelos line. After just a season there, she was laid-up in Elefsina, where she spent the entire 2011 season out of service. She was subsequently laid-up in Perama from 2012 to 2016, due to the decrease in demand for the one-day cruises on the Saronic Gulf. She returned to service on the Floisbos-Hydra-Poros-Aegina line in 2016, as her fleetmate, the PLATYTERA TON OURANON, was undergoing an extensive refit during that year's summer. Once the latter returned to service in 2017, the ANNA MARU was again laid-up in Perama. She subsequently returned to the same line in 2018. In 2020 she was once again sent for lay-up in Perama.
