-Fast Ferries

Built in 1998 (age 25). Registered in Piraeus. Current line: Piraeus-Syros-Mykonos-Paros-Ios-Santorini-Heraklion

The high speed ferry THUNDER was built in 1998 in Australia, as the TURGUT ÖZAL for the Turkish company İstanbul Deniz Otobüsleri (İDO). She was deployed on the İstanbul-Bandırma line on the Marmara Sea. After serving the latter for 21 years, she was sold to the Greek company Fast Ferries, hence becoming their first-ever fully-owned high speed craft. She was renamed THUNDER and underwent a conversion in Perama and Salamina throughout 2020. She began service in 2021 on the Piraeus-Syros-Mykonos-Naxos line on the Cyclades.
