TERA JET 2 (ΤΕΡΑ ΤΖΕΤ 2)

-Sea Jets

ex-EUROCHAMPION JET (ΓΙΟΥΡΟΤΣΑΜΠΙΟΝ ΤΖΕΤ), also of Sea Jets (2024-2025)

Built in 2007 (age 18). Registered in Limassol. Current line: None (under refit in Salamina)

The large high speed ferry TERA JET 2 was built in 2007 in Australia, as the NATCHAN RERA for the Japanese company Higashi Nihon Ferry. She was deployed on the Aomori-Hakodate line. At the time of her construction, she was the largest-ever ship built at the famed Incat Shipyard, a title which she held until the delivery of the EXPRESS 3 of the Danish company Molslinjen in 2017. Her introduction to service proved to be successful, and she notably received the 'Best High Speed Ferry in the World' award by Shippax in 2008. That same year, she was joined by her sister ship, namely the NATCHAN WORLD. In 2009, the ships of Higashi Nihon Ferry were acquired by Dōnan Jidōsha Ferry, with the two companies then proceeding to form the newly-established company Tsugaru Kaikyō Ferry. The NATCHAN RERA remained in her service until 2012, when she was sold to the Taiwanese company Uni-Wagon Marine. She began service on the Su'ao-Hualien line, thus connecting two Eastern ports of the island of Taiwan. In 2014 she was deployed on the Taipei-Pingtan Island line on the Taiwan Strait. In 2016 she moved to the Hualien-Ishigaki line on the East China Sea, where she operated until the service was discontinued in 2017. She was subsequently laid-up in Hualien. In 2022 she moved to Anping, where she was inspected by interested buyers, but ultimately nothing came to fruition and she remained laid-up. In 2024 she was eventually sold to the Greek company Sea Jets. She arrived in Greece as the EUROCHAMPION JET, and she underwent a conversion in Salamina. In 2025 she was renamed TERA JET 2 and she was deployed on the Piraeus-Paros-Naxos-Koufonisi-Schoinousa-Irakleia line.
