-Sea Jets

Built in 1997 (age 28). Registered in Piraeus. Current line: Mantoudi-Skiathos-Skopelos-Alonissos

The high speed ferry SPEEDRUNNER JET 2 was built in 1997 in Italy, for the British conglomerate Sea Containers, alongside three other sister ships (namely the HELLENIC HIGHSPEED of Hellenic Seaways, the SUPERRUNNER JET and the SPEEDRUNNER JET of Sea Jets). Initially known as the  SUPERSEACAT ONE, she was deployed on the Frederikshavn-Gothenburg line on the Kattegat. In 2000 she moved to the Dieppe-Newhaven line on the Channel, while in 2001 she operated on the Ostend-Dover line. In 2002 she returned to the Dieppe-Newhaven line, where she remained until 2004. In 2005 she was chartered to the Finnish company Silja Line and she operated on the Tallinn-Helsinki line on the Finnish Gulf, under the SuperSeaCat brandname. In 2006 she was sold to the Spanish company Acciona Trasmediterránea, and she was renamed ALMUDAINA DOS. She was deployed on the Barcelona-Ibiza-Menorca line on the Balearic Sea. In 2008 she was deployed on the Almería-Nador line on the Alboran Sea. In 2009 she was deemed to surplus requirements by her company, and she was therefore laid-up in Tarragona, while later in that same year she headed to Sant Carles de la Ràpita, where she stayed until 2014. After five years of lay-up, she was ultimately reactivated by her company and she underwent a refit in Gibraltar. She eventually resumed service in 2015, being inserted on the Valencia-Ibiza line, while her company once again became known simply as Trasmediterránea. In 2016 she operated on the Málaga-Melilla line on the Alboran Sea. In 2017 she returned to the Balearic Sea as she was deployed on the Gandía-Ibiza line. In 2019 she moved to the Canary Islands Archipelago, as she operated on the Las Palmas-Santa Cruz de Tenerife line. In 2020 she was once again laid-up, this time in Almería, where she remained for two years. In 2022 she was sold to the newly-established Greek company Panellenic Lines, for whom she was deployed on the Heraklion-Santorini line as the SANTA IRINI. After just one season, she was sold in 2023 to Sea Jets, and she was renamed SPEEDRUNNER JET 2. She was deployed on the Piraeus-Mykonos-Paros-Naxos-Koufonisi line on the Cyclades. In 2024 she underwent an extensive renovation of her indoor areas and of her machinery in Chalkida, after which she began service on the Thessaloniki-Limnos-Mytilene-Skiathos-Skopelos-Alonissos-Mantoudi line.
