RIGEL VII (ΡΙΓΚΕΛ VΙΙ)
-Ventouris Ferries
Built in 1994 (age 30). Registered in Limassol. Current line: Bari-Durrës
The Ro-Pax ferry RIGEL VII was built in 1994 in Japan, as the ORANGE 7 for the Japanese company Shikoku Kaihatsu Ferry, also known as Orange Ferry. She was deployed on the Kobe-Osaka-Tōyo-Niihama line, where she remained for 24 years. After being withdrawn from service in late 2018, she was sold in 2019 to the Greek company Ventouris Ferries. She was renamed RIGEL VII and she arrived in Aegion, where she remained until she headed to Salamina, whereupon she underwent an extensive conversion. She was introduced on the Kefalonia-Igoumenitsa-Corfu-Bari line on the Adriatic Sea in 2020, where she immediately made an impact as a fast and reliable Ro-Pax ferry. She is the current flagship of Ventouris Ferries.
