POSEIDON (ΠΟΣΕΙΔΩΝ)

Poseidon Waterways

ex-THERMAÏKOS I (ΘΕΡΜΑΪΚΟΣ Ι) for Salamina Waterways (2015-2018)

Built in 1995 (age 29). Registered in Piraeus. Current line: None (under refit in Salamina)

The small passenger boat POSEIDON was built in 1995 in Greece, as the MARIA K of Kalfaoglou Shipping. She began service on the Perama-Salamina line. She was however laid-up in Salamina in 2003 due to her company's financial issues. She attempted a comeback in 2010, which was ultimately unsuccessful. In 2015, after 12 years of lay-up, she was bought by Salamina Waterways. She was renamed THERMAÏKOS I and was extensively refitted and converted in Perama. She began service again on the Perama-Salamina line. In 2018, following the summer season, she was sold to Thessaloniki Waterways, which was later renamed Poseidon Waterways, and she was renamed POSEIDON. In 2019 she was deployed on the Thermaic Gulf, serving the Thessaloniki-Peraia-Neoi Epivates-Agia Triada line. In 2020 she returned to the Saronic Gulf, as she was deployed on the Piraeus-Salamina line. In 2022 she returned to the Thessaloniki-Peraia-Neoi Epivates-Agia Triada line.
