current UNIJE for Jadrolinija

The small ferry PANAGIA EVAGGELISTRIA was built in 2004 in Turkey, as the LADY GIÒ for the Italian company Red Fish Cruises. She was initially a passenger-only vessel that was used as a floating restaurant and for night cruises based in the port of Catania. In 2013 she was sold to the Italian company Lady Giò Srl and she continued to operate under the same capacity as she did in Catania, although this time she was based in Venice, and she occasionally performed cruises on the Venice-Treporti-Murano line on the Venetian Lagoon. In 2019 she was sold to the Maltese company Lady Giò Ltd and she performed cruises on the Valletta-Comino-Cominotto-Gozo line on the Maltese Archipelago. She was laid-up in Valletta in 2020, and in 2021 she was sold to the Greek company Kateros Shipping Company. She was bought in order to replace the company's previous ship, namely the PANAGIA SPILIANI, which had been sold to the Yemeni company Socotra Dream Ltd. The LADY GIÒ was renamed PANAGIA EVAGGELISTRIA and she underwent a major conversion in Perama, during which her stern was fully remodeled, while she acquired a small garage, thus making her a ferry. She briefly operated on the Chios-Psara line on the Northeast Aegean Sea in late 2021, before being moving to the Rhodes-Tilos-Nisyros-Kos line on the Dodecanese, which is where her predecessor had previously been operating. Following the completion of the 2023 season, the PANAGIA EVAGGELISTRIA was sold to the Croatian company Jadrolinija, and she was renamed UNIJE. She began service on the Mali Lošinj-Vela Skrakane-Unije-Susak line on the Adriatic Sea in 2024.
