NIKOLAOS A (ΝΙΚΟΛΑΟΣ Α)
-Anatoliotakis NE
Built in 1979 (age 44). Registered in Piraeus. Current line: None (under refit in Perama)
The landing craft NIKOLAOS A was built in 1979 in Greece. She was delivered to Anatoliotakis NE, which deployed her on the Preveza-Aktion line on the Ambracian Gulf. She underwent a first conversion in Perama in 1986, followed by a second one in 1993, whereupon she was lengthened, heightened, and her bridge was modified. She operated on the Preveza-Aktion line until 2002, when the service between both ports was discontinued following the completion of the construction of an undersea road tunnel. As a result, she moved to the Rion-Antirrion line, where she has remained ever since.
