The small high speed boat MYTILINAIOS CH was built in 2000 in the United States, as the TAXIARCHIS for the Santorini Boatmen Union. She began service on the Santorini Archipelago, operating on the Santorini-Nea Kameni line, while also helping transport passengers arriving from cruise ships to Santorini. In 2014 she underwent a major conversion in Santorini, whereupon she was lengthened, received a new outdoor deck and new engines which increased both her speed and her passenger capacity. In 2015 she was renamed MYTILINAIOS CH, in memory of her late captain, Chrysostomos Mytilinaios, who had tragically passed away a year earlier. She was the flagship of the Santorini Boatmen Union from 2000 until the arrival of her fleetmate, the ELSA, in 2005.
