The landing craft MEGANISI II was built in 1997 in Greece for the Greek company Evangelia NE, as the EVANGELIA II. She began service on the Perama-Salamina line, where she remained for 10 years. In 2007 she was sold to the Meganisi-based company Coastal Lines Ionios Corporation. She was renamed MEGANISI II and was inserted on the Kefalonia-Ithaca-Meganisi-Lefakda line on the Ionian Sea. Since 2016 she has been operating on the Lefkada-Meganisi-Ithaca line.
