IOANNIS D (ΙΩΑΝΝΗΣ Δ)
-Dakoutros Speed
Built in 2013 (age 11). Registered in Piraeus. Current line: Santorini-Nea Kameni-Palaia Kameni
The small high speed boat IOANNIS D was built in 2013 in Greece for Dakoutros Speed, thereby becoming the first high speed ship built as part of her company's fleet renewal programme. After being successfully deployed on the local Santorini Archipelago crossings, she was followed by two larger newly-built high speed craft in 2014, namely the FANTASIA and the PRESTIGE. The three ships were then joined by the PELAGOS, the TAXIARCHIS D and the ELEFTHERIOS D in 2016, the THEOSKEPASTI and the KALLIOPI in 2017 and the much larger MEGA STAR and SEA STAR in 2019 and in 2020, respectively. The IOANNIS D mainly operates between Santorini and the volcanic islands of Nea Kameni and Palaia Kameni, and she also helps transport passengers from cruise ships to Santorini.
