FREEDOM II (ΦΡΗΝΤΟΜ ΙΙ)

The small high speed boat FREEDOM II was built in 2003 in Greece, as the KALYMNOS DOLPHIN for the Greek company ANEK Sea Lines. She was deployed on the Kos-Kalymnos line on the Dodecanese, and remained there until 2010, when the company replaced her with a younger and larger high speed boat, also named KALYMNOS DOLPHIN. As a result, the older KALYMNOS DOLPHIN was sold to the Greek company Hydra Lines. She was renamed FREEDOM II and was deployed on the Metochi-Hydra line, alongside her new fleetmate, the FREEDOM, which had started operations on that line in 2009. In 2013, the FREEDOM II was laid-up in Hydra and did operate for the entire season, but was eventually deployed once again on the Metochi-Hydra line the following year.
