EMPEDOKLIS (ΕΜΠΕΔΟΚΛΗΣ)
-Aianteiaki NE
Built in 2016 (age 7). Registered in Piraeus. Current line: Perama-Salamina
The double-ended ferry EMPEDOKLIS was ordered in 2010 by the Greek company Aianteiaki NE. She was initially planned to be deployed on the Piraeus-Aegina line on the Saronic Gulf, but her construction stopped in 2012 due to a lack of funds and the impact of the Greek financial crisis. She was launched in 2013, but remained laid-up in Salamina for the next 3 years. After finally securing the necessary funds, her owner resumed her construction and she was completed in Greece in 2016. She was deployed on the Perama-Salamina line.
