The double-ended ferry ELENA A was ordered in 2008 by the Salamina-based company Nikolaïdis NE. She was due to be completed under the name AGIOS FANOURIOS I, but she was sold, while still under construction, to Agios Fanourios Ferries, who completed her in 2009 in Greece. She was renamed ELENA A and entered service on the Perama-Salamina line. After 13 years, she she moved to the Rion-Antirrion line in 2022, and remained there for two seasons. She returned to the Perama-Salamina line in 2024
