The small passenger ship IKAROS PALACE II was built in 1999 in Greece, as the DIMOSTHENIS for the Greek company Top Cruiser, which had already built the larger passenger ship DIMOSHTENIS K in 1994. The ship began performing daily cruises around Zakynthos, while also occasionally making stops in Marathonisi, a small island located next to Zakynthos. She remained in this service until 2024. After undergoing a lengthy refit in Perama in 2025, it was announced that she was sold later in that same year to Seven Islands Cruises (which had also bought the DIMOSTHENIS K back in 2024), and she was renamed IKAROS PALACE II.
