-Blue Star Ferries

Built in 1997 (age 28). Registered in Piraeus. Current line: Piraeus-Samos-Kalymnos-Kos-Symi-Rhodes

The Ro-Ro carrier BLUE CARRIER 2 was built in 1997 in Japan, as the CLEMENTINE for the Belgian-Luxembourgish company Cobelfret. Together with five other sister ships, she joined the Cobelfret Ferries division and she was deployed on the Zeebrugge-Purfleet line, thus linking Belgium with the United Kingdom via the North Sea. This was her primary service until 2013, as she then moved to the Cuxhaven-Immingham line, where she stayed for two years. In 2015 she returned to the Zeebrugge-Purfleet line, while in 2018 she spent one season on the Rotterdam-Zeebrugge-Dublin line, before returning once again to the Zeebrugge-Purfleet line. In 2020 she began a new service on the Santander-Liverpool-Dublin line, thus connecting Spain with the United Kingdom and Ireland via the Bay of Biscay and the Irish Sea. In 2022 she headed to the Rotterdam-Killingholme line. In 2023 she was bought by the Greek company Blue Star Ferries, thus becoming their second-ever Ro-Ro carrier, following the BLUE CARRIER 1. She was delivered to her new owners in 2024, after having been renamed BLUE CARRIER 2. After undergoing a refit in Elefsina, she was deployed on the Piraeus-Samos-Kalymnos-Kos-Symi-Rhodes line on the Dodecanese.
