AZIMUT (ΑΖΙΜΟΥΤ)

-Joy Cruises

Built in 2001 (age 23). Registered in Piraeus. Current line: None (under refit in Corfu)

The small passenger ship AZIMUT was built in 2001 in Italy, as the EURO TRE for the Italian company Consorzio Marittimo Turistico Cinque Terre-Golfo dei Poeti. She began service on the La Spezia-Portovenere-Manarola-Corniglia-Vernazza-Monterosso-Levantino line, thus sailing from the Gulf of La Spezia to the Cinque Terre villages on the Ligurian Sea. She remained in this service for 15 years, until she was sold to the Greek company Joy Cruises (based in Corfu) in 2016. She was renamed AZIMUT and began service on the Corfu-Paxoi line on the Ionian Sea. In 2018 she was introduced to the first-ever inter-Ionian service, being deployed on the Zakynthos-Kefalonia-Ithaca-Lefkada-Paxoi-Corfu line. In 2019 the island of Meganisi was added to her itinerary, thus she operated on the Zakynthos-Kefalonia-Ithaca-Meganisi-Lefkada-Paxoi-Corfu line. In 2022 she returned to the Corfu-Paxoi line.
