ANO CHORA II (ΑΝΩ ΧΩΡΑ ΙΙ)

-2way Ferries

Built in 2004 (age 18). Registered in Piraeus. Current line: None (under under drydock in Chalkida)

The double-ended ferry ANO CHORA II was built in 2004 in Greece for the Greek company 2way Ferries, owned by the Papaïoannidis family. She was built in order to replace the double-ended ferry ANO CHORA EXPRESS, which was built in 2001 and had been sold to the Croatian company Jadrolonija in 2003. She began service on the Rion-Antirrion line, though she only stayed one season there, due to the completion of the construction of the Rion-Antirrion Bridge. As a result, she was deployed on the Igoumenitsa-Corfu line on the Ionian Sea in 2005, where she has since been remaining. She operates under the Kerkyra Ferries joint venture, which includes her company and Kerkyra Lines.
