ALKYON II (ΑΛΚΥΩΝ ΙΙ)
-Farmakoris-Villiotis NE (2018-2022)
Built in 2018, sank in 2025 (age 7). Was registered in Piraeus.
The small landing craft ALKYON II was ordered in 2017 by the Greek company Farmakoris-Villiotis NE, alongside her sister ship, namely the ALKYON. Both ships were completed in 2018 in Greece, with the ALKYON II being deployed on the Megara-Salamina line. In 2019 she moved the Pounta-Elafonisos line, before heading back to the Megara-Salamina line in 2020. After the 2022 season ended, she was sold to the Emirati company Abu Dhabi Maritime and she was renamed AL ALIAH. She departed Greece in 2023 and she was deployed on the Al Saadiyat-Al Aliah line on the Persian Gulf. In 2025 she was sold the Seychelles Maritime Authority and she was renamed SERDAL. Just as she was heading to the Seychelles, however, she sank near the artificial island of Romainville, which resulted in the loss of one crew member, as well as the end of her career after only 7 years.

The ALKYON II seen in the port of Faneromeni in Salamina, in what turned out to be my final picture of the ship in Greece, as she was sold in late 2022 to the Emirati company Abu Dhabi Maritime. It later proved to be my final picture of the ship altogether, as she unfortunately sank in 2025 (11/2022).
