-Αqua Vera NE

ex-ALEXANDROS (ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΣ) for Alexandros Shipping (2000-2015) and My Ways (2015-2016)

Built in 2000 (age 24). Registered in Piraeus. Current line: None (laid-up in Salamina)

The small passenger ship AGIA MARINA AEGINIS was built as the ALEXANDROS in Greece in 2000 for the Greek company Alexandros Shipping, also known as Alex Cruises. She began service on the Ionian Sea, being deployed on the Zakynthos-Kefalonia-Ithaca-Lefkada line, while also occasionally operating solely in Zakynthos by making trips around the island. She underwent a major conversion in 2002 in Perama, whereupon she was lengthened and increased both her passenger capacity and her speed. In 2007 her company deployed her on the Ierapetra-Chryssi line in Crete. In 2008, she was transferred to the Piraeus-Northern Aegina line, stopping in the ports of Souvala and Agia Marina. She underwent a small conversion in 2009 in Salamina, whereupon she received a bulbous bow and an upgraded stern ramp. In 2010, she served the Piraeus-Northern Aegina-Agistri line, but the extension to Agistri was discontinued the following year. In 2015 she was sold to My Ways, which kept her in her usual service. She grounded off in Aegina in that same year, but was quickly repaired. In 2016 she was sold to Evoïkos Lines, a company which had just deployed its own ferry, the OSIOS DAVID (now the MENEKRATIS of Kerkyra Lines), on the Piraeus-Northern Aegina line. She resumed her summer service to both Northern Aegina ports, after having been renamed AGIA MARINA AEGINIS. In 2019 she was transferred to ANES Ferries, and was deployed on the Piraeus-Northern Aegina-Hydra line. She was sold to Aqua Vera NE in 2020, and resumed service on the Piraeus-Northern Aegina line in 2021. She has been laid-up in Salamina since 2022.
