ex-SALAMIS EXPRESS I (ΣΑΛΑΜΙΣ ΕΞΠΡΕΣ Ι) of Salamis Express (1996-2025)

Built in 1996 (age 30). Registered in Chalkida. Current line: None (under refit in Aegina)

The small passenger ship NERAÏDA EXPRESS was built in 1996 in Greece, as the SALAMIS EXPRESS I for the Greek company Salamis Express. She began service on the Piraeus-Salamina line (serving the ports of Kamatero and Paloukia). She stayed there until 2000, when she was transferred to the Perama-Salamina line. She kept operating there along with her fleetmate, namely the SALAMIS EXPRESS III (today the NEFELI of Syvota Sea Cruises), for the next 16 years, until she returned on the Piraeus-Salamina line in 2016 (serving the port of Selinia), whereupon she replaced the BOB SFOUGKARAKIS of Kavouris Shipping Company which was deployed on the Perama-Salamina line. She returned once again to the Perama-Salamina line in 2019. She was laid-up in Salamina in 2020. After five years of inactivity, she was sold in late 2025 to Sea Bond Sea Bus (also known as Aegina Cruises), and she was renamed NERAÏDA EXPRESS.
