KYDON PALACE (ΚΥΔΩΝ ΠΑΛΑΣ)

-Minoan Lines

ex-FESTOS PALACE (ΦΑΙΣΤΟΣ ΠΑΛΑΣ), also for Minoan Lines (2001-2020)

Built in 2001 (age 23). Registered in Piraeus. Current line: Patras-Igoumenitsa-Brindisi-Ancona

The cruiseferry KYDON PALACE was the second among the four sister ships ordered by the Heraklion-based company Minoan Lines between 2000 and 2002. She was completed as the FESTOS PALACE in 2001 in Italy, and she joined her sister ship, the KNOSSOS PALACE on her company's main itinerary, the Piraeus-Heraklion line. In 2018 she was deployed on the Piraeus-Milos-Heraklion line. In 2019 she received scrubbers following a conversion in Malta, becoming the third ship in Greek coastal service history to receive them, after her fleetmates, the MYKONOS PALACE and the KNOSSOS PALACE. In 2020 she was renamed KYDON PALACE and was deployed on the Piraeus-Chania line, after having spent 19 years on the Piraeus-Heraklion line. In 2021 she started serving the Piraeus-Milos-Chania line. In 2023 she moved to the Adriatic Sea as she was deployed on the Igoumenitsa-Corfu-Brindisi line.
